Coastal Connect

Light Up the Coast for Survivors

A free sunset ‘netwalk’ from Blyth to North Shields, raising money for Rape Crisis Tyneside & Northumberland during Big Give Week.

Coastal Connect Tynemouth are a networking group with a difference – we meet every Tuesday morning at 7:30 am at the beautiful Tynemouth Castle Inn, and combine traditional business networking with peer support, problem solving and wellbeing to offer a really positive start to your week!

Join us in October for something a little different – an 8-mile (ish) walk along our beautiful North East coastline, starting in Blyth and finishing in North Shields.

We’ll meet outside Breeze Lounge in Blyth, and set off at 4:30pm, walking and talking as the sun goes down, calling in at a couple of pubs for refreshment breaks before lighting up the final part of the route with torches and headtorches. We’ll finish at the Fishnet Tavern in North Shields for a well-earned drink!

New to Coastal Connect?

Perfect! This event is open to everyone. You don’t need to be an existing member and there’s no awkward formal networking – just come along, walk, chat and meet some new people. Join us anywhere along the route.

Supporting Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland

The event is completely free to attend, but we are using the walk to support us during Big Give Week.

There is no sponsorship requirement or fundraising target. We’ll simply invite everyone who is able to make a donation through Big Give on the night using our QR code.

Even better, donations made during the campaign can be doubled through match funding while funds are available – so your donation could have twice the impact.
