We are planning our work for the next 3-5 years. This is an important moment for us to pause, reflect and ask: what’s working well, what needs to change, and how can we best meet the needs of women and girls in our region in the years ahead?
Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland (RCTN) exists to support and empower women and girls who have experienced sexual violence. The world around us is changing fast – from funding challenges to the realities of women’s lives today. We want to make sure our future direction reflects the voices of the people who matter most: survivors, staff, volunteers and partner organisations
Your ideas will directly influence the priorities we set for the coming years – from the services we provide, to how we campaign for change, to the way we work internally. This is your chance to help shape RCTN’s future. Between October 2025 and January 2026, we will be gathering insights in a few different ways:
-
Workshops and events with survivors, volunteers, staff and partners
-
Questionnaires to capture wider views
-
One-to-one conversations

Survivor Survey
We want to make sure our future direction reflects the voices of the people who matter most, survivors. You can complete the survey whether you have used our services in the past, if you are currently using them or if you have never used our services.
The survey is a chance for you to share your views in an anonymous, confidential way, at a time that works for you. It should take about 10 minutes to complete. Most questions can be skipped.
As a thank you for your time, there is the option to enter into a prize draw for £100 Love to Shop Voucher!
If you need support to complete the survey email pedwards@rctn.org.uk or call 0191 222 0272 and ask to speak to Penny.
