Do you feel passionate about supporting women and girls who have experienced sexual violence? Are you committed to ending stigma and blame? Then we need you.
We are regularly looking for volunteers to support our work in both Tyneside and Northumberland.
Our volunteers help with activism, campaigns and events.
Women also volunteer with us to deliver frontline services to women and girls who have experienced sexual violence. To find out about our voluntary opportunities including how to get involved click on the links below:
We are not able to support counselling placements or have volunteers as part of our counselling team.
Women interested in volunteering with us should read Our Mission Statement which includes our statement on feminism.
Our volunteers say:
“I feel really valued by everyone here. The support I receive is excellent and this has meant I have been able to be involved for a long time.”
“What I get out of it is a sense of doing something worthwhile, and the satisfaction of knowing I might be making a difference to a woman’s life.”
“I have also developed practical skills which I feel will serve me well on the helpline and have done this in an environment which allowed me to feel challenged and engaged while being comfortable to discuss difficult issues with other women.”
