Training for Professionals

We run specialist training workshops for professionals around the issues of working with people who have experienced sexual violence.

We are happy to speak with you about providing training to your team.  We are able to tailor our training to the needs of your organisation or to deliver one of our standard workshops.

Our standard workshops includes subject such as:

  • Creative Ways of Working in a Therapeutic Environment with Survivors of Sexual Violence
  • Self-Care for Professionals
  • Understanding secondary trauma and the impact on practice
  • Understanding Self Harm
  • Working with Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse
  • Working with Adult Survivors of Rape & Sexual Assault
  • Working with Survivors of Sexual Violence who have a Learning Disability
  • Working with trauma and flashbacks.
  • Working with young people who have experienced sexual violence

Participants

Our training is open to professionals from a range of backgrounds including Counsellors, GPs, Probation Officers, Psychotherapists , Social Workers, Support Staff and Youth Workers, as well as to individuals.

Workshops are open to people of all genders.

Fees

Fees can be discussed with the organisation booking and are based on the number of learners, content and length of the course.

In the past we have offered a calendar of training workshops which were open to professionals from multiple organisations.  We currently have no Training Calendar for this year. But if you wish to express an interest please contact us.

We also offer talks to raise awareness of sexual violence and our services, and bespoke in-house training can be arranged. Contact us for details.
