Live Training for Professionals
Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland has been providing specialist support and recovery services to women and girls for over 40 years.
Our training is written, designed and delivered by professionals who are specialists in working with women and girls who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives.
We are able to tailor our training to the needs of your organisation or to deliver one of our standard courses.
Our standard workshops includes subject such as:
- Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse
- Working with Adult Survivors of Rape & Sexual Assault
- Working with young people who have experienced sexual violence
- Sexual Violence and Older People
- Sexual Violence & Trauma – Introductory Training
- Understanding secondary trauma and the impact on practice

Participants
Our training is open to professionals from a range of backgrounds including Counsellors, GPs, Probation Officers, Psychotherapists , Social Workers, Support Staff and Youth Workers, as well as to individuals.
Workshops are open to people of all genders.
