With gratitude from us all

After many years of dedication, passion, and unwavering leadership, our incredible CEO, Sue, is moving onto her next chapter!

Sue has been at the heart of Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland, guiding the organisation with compassion, strength, and a deep commitment to supporting survivors.

Her leadership has shaped RCTN into the organisation it is today, ensuring that our work continues to empower, support, and create change. Reminding us of the incredible influence our voices have!

Her impact is immeasurable, and while we will deeply miss her, we are endlessly grateful for everything she has done.

Sue, thank you for your years of dedication, your kindness, and your tireless advocacy. You leave behind a legacy that will continue to make a difference for years to come.

Wishing you the best!

Welcome to the team Abby

We are pleased to welcome our new CEO, Abby Traynor to our team. Abby brings a wealth of experience and dedication to supporting survivors and advocating for change.

As we continue our vital work, Abby’s leadership will help us grow, strengthen our services, and further our mission. We’re thrilled to have her on board and look forward to the journey ahead.

A message from Abby

“I am honoured to step into the role of CEO at RCTN, an organisation that has been a vital source of support, advocacy, and prevention in the fight against sexual violence. At a time when the need for survivor-centered services and systemic change has never been greater, I am committed to building on the incredible work of this organisation to ensure that every survivor has access to the support, justice, and empowerment they deserve.

“My priority is to work alongside our dedicated team, partners, and communities to strengthen our impact and amplify survivor voices. Together, we will continue to challenge stigma, increase awareness, and advocate for a society where sexual violence is not tolerated, and all survivors are met with the compassion and respect they deserve.”

“I look forward to leading RCTN into this new chapter and to working with our supporters, funders, and allies to drive real, lasting change.”

Welcome to the team!
